Period Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGH

The deserted streets flow in gleaming lightA
Through my dull head And hurt meB
I clearly feel that I shall soon slip awayC
Thorny roses of my skin don't prick like thatD
The night grows moldy The poison light of the lamppostsE
Has smeared it with green muckF
My heart is like a bag My blood freezesG
The world is dying My eyes collapseH
