Farewell Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIJKL

It sure was fine to be a soldier for a yearA
But it is finer to feel free againB
There was enough of depravity and painC
In these merciless human millsD
Sergeants Barrack walls farewellE
Farewell canteens marching songsF
Lighthearted I leave the city and capitolG
Kuno is leaving Kuno is never coming backH
Now fate drive me where you willI
I am not tugging on my jacket from now onJ
I lift my eyes into the worldK
A wind is starting up Locomotives roarL
