The Rosary Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBA CDCDCD

Not on the lute nor harp of many stringsA
Shall all men praise the Master of all songB
Our life is brief one saith and art is longB
And skilled must be the laureates of kingsA
Silent O lips that utter foolish thingsA
Rest awkward fingers striking all notes wrongB
How from your toil shall issue white and strongB
Music like that God's chosen poet singsA
-
There is one harp that any hand can playC
And from its strings what harmonies ariseD
There is one song that any mouth can sayC
A song that lingers when all singing diesD
When on their beads our Mother's children prayC
Immortal music charms the grateful skiesD
