Love's Lantern Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCBC DEDE AFAF

For AlineA
-
-
-
Because the road was steep and longB
And through a dark and lonely landC
God set upon my lips a songB
And put a lantern in my handC
-
Through miles on weary miles of nightD
That stretch relentless in my wayE
My lantern burns serene and whiteD
An unexhausted cup of dayE
-
O golden lights and lights like wineA
How dim your boasted splendors areF
Behold this little lamp of mineA
It is more starlike than a starF
