The Fragrant Perfume Of The Flowers Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCC BBDDEE

The fragrant perfume of the flowersA
Exuding in the summer hoursA
E'en as the altar's incense rareB
Disseminated through the airB
May never reach the azure skiesC
Yet can the earth aromatizeC
-
And so the voice of secret prayerB
Ascending on the wings of airB
Though it should reach no listening earD
Of Deity inclined to hearD
Still soothes the anguish of the mindE
And leaves a tranquil peace behindE
