Nature's Child Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB AACC AADD EEAA AAFF DDAD DDAA

I love to tread the solitudesA
The forests and the trackless woodsA
Where nature undisturbed by manB
Pursues her voluntary planB
-
Where nature's chemistry distillsA
The fountains and the laughing rillsA
I love to quaff her sparkling wineC
And breathe the fragrance of the pineC
-
I love to dash the crystal dewsA
From floral shapes of varied huesA
And interweave the modest whiteD
Of columbine in garlands brightD
-
I love to lie within the shadeE
On grassy couch by nature madeE
And listen to the warbling notesA
From her fair songsters' feathered throatsA
-
And freed from artificial wantsA
I love to dwell in nature's hauntsA
And by the mountain's crystal lakeF
A rustic habitation makeF
-
I love to scale the mountain heightD
And watch the eagle in his flightD
Or gaze upon the azure seaA
Of aerial immensityD
-
I love the busy marts of tradeD
I love the things which men have madeD
Though man has charms none such as theseA
In him the child of nature seesA
