| Or even for an instant recognize | D |
| The climes conditions and environment | F |
| Beloved by them in that pre natal span | G |
| Though past and future both be sealed to man | G |

| Her floodgates with fond recollection fraught | I |
| 'Twould then renew the dormant fires of hope | H |
| Now smothered out by speculative thought | I |
