Rhyme Scheme: AB CD EFGG HGABI JKGG BLMG

Today my mother and sistersA
came to see meB
-
I had been alone a long timeC
with my poems my pride almost nothingD
-
My sister the oldest is grown upE
is blondish An elemental dreamF
goes through her eyes I told the youngestG
quot Life is sweet Everything bad comes to an end quotG
-
My mother smiled as those who understand soulsH
tend to doG
She placed two hands on my shouldersA
She's staring at meB
and tears spring from my eyesI
-
We ate together in the warmest roomJ
of the houseK
Spring sky to see itG
all the windows were openedG
-
And while we talked together quietlyB
of so much that is old and forgottenL
My sister the youngest interruptsM
quot The swallows are flying by us quotG
