Therefore go with thy love remainB
And let me leif thus unmolestA
And see that thou come not againB
But bide with her thou luvis bestA
-
Sen she that I have servit langC
Is to depart so suddenlyD
Address thee now for thou sall gangC
And bear thy lady companyD
Fra she be gone heartless am IE
For quhy thou art with her possestA
Therefore my heart go hence in highE
And bide with her thou luvis bestA
-
Though this belappit body hereF
Be bound to servitude and thrallG
My faithful heart is free entierF
And mind to serve my lady at allG
Would God that I were perigallG
Under that redolent rose to restA
Yet at the least my heart thou sallG
Abide with her thou luvis bestA
-
Sen in your garth the lily quhyteA
May not remain amang the laifE
Adieu the flower of whole deliteA
Adieu the succour that may me saifE
Adieu the fragrant balme suaifE
And lamp of ladies lustiestA
My faithful heart she shall it haifE
To bide with her it luvis bestA
-
Deploir ye ladies cleir of hueH
Her absence sen she must departA
And specially ye luveris trueH
That wounded bene with Luvis dartA
For some of you sall want ane heartA
As well as I therefore at lastA
Do go with mine with mind inwartA
And bide with her thou luvis bestA
