Street Circus Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACDEDF GHIJKIK LMNMOPO CQCCRI CC

A small circus is amazingA
It s for kids who are merry and brightB
There a girl and a boy're gazingA
At the ladies kings and droll spritesC
And that terrible music cries over our lotD
Despondently howls the bowE
The scary sprite has captured a tiny totD
With cranberry juice dripping downF
-
The boyG
He'll be rescued from a new burst of angerH
With a wave of a delicate handI
There lights coming onJ
See their growing reflectionK
See the smoke See the torch on the standI
This must be the royal processionK
-
The girlL
Come now why all this teasing talkM
This is the devil's escortN
In the daylight the queen goes out for a walkM
Head to toe with rosebuds decoratedO
And escort of knights hold the train of her frockP
And jingle their swords all excitedO
-
Suddenly the clown twists in the lightsC
Screaming Please help me Please helpQ
I am bleeding red cranberry juiceC
I have bandages made of ragsC
I have a paper helmet on my headR
I ve a wooden sword in my handI
-
Here both the girl and the boy broke into tearsC
And the merry street circus shut its doorsC
