The Life Theoretic Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHABIJK

While I have been fumbling over booksA
And thinking about God and the Devil and allB
Other young men have been battling with the daysC
And others have been kissing the beautiful womenD
They have brazen faces like battering ramsE
But I who think about books and suchF
I crumble to impotent dust before the strugglingG
And the women palsy me with fearH
But when it comes to fumbling over booksA
And thinking about God and the Devil and allB
Why there I amI
But perhaps the battering rams are in the right of itJ
Perhaps perhaps God knowsK
