Social Amenities Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBADAEFGE

I am getting on well with this anecdoteA
When suddenly I recallB
The many times I have told it of oldC
And all the worked up phrases and the dying fallB
Of voice well timed in the crisis the noteA
Of mock heroic ingeniously struckD
The whole thing sticks in my throatA
And my face all tingles and pricks with shameE
For myself and my hearersF
These are the social pleasures my GodG
But I finish the story triumphantly all the sameE
