| He said I'm Daddy's soldier boy | B |
| When he was five years old | C |
| And then went out and built snow forts | D |
| Although the day was cold | C |

| The snowballs were his hand grenades | E |
| A stick his bayonette | C |
| And with a home made wooden gun | F |
| The foe he bravely met | C |

| In five more years he joined the scouts | G |
| And hiked across the hills | H |
| He learned to wear a khaki suit | C |
| And do military drills | H |

| And so the years passed swiftly on | I |
| And now he is a man | J |
| He's in the trenches over there | K |
| Fighting for Uncle Sam | L |
| - | |
| I know he'll make the Huns regret | C |
| They started this big fight | C |
| For he knows the cause he's fighting for | M |
| Is liberty and right | C |
