| have something else to do | B |
| besides their treeing What is it | C |
| I'm a starving to death | D |
| man myself and thirsty thirsty | E |
| by their fountains but I cannot drink | F |
| their mud and sunlight to be whole | G |
| I do not understand these presences | H |
| that drink for months | I |
| in the dirt eat light | J |
| and then fast dry in the cold | K |
| They stand it out somehow | L |
| and how the Botanists will tell me | E |
| It is the something else that bothers | M |
| me so I often go back to the forests | N |
