What Grief! The Alley's End Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFGH IJKL MNOP DQRS

What grief The alley's endA
Is lost in snow again todayB
And once again the silver snakesC
Are crawling through the snowD
-
The sky's without a patch of blueE
The steppe's completely smooth and whiteF
A single crow is struggling hardG
To beat its wings against the stormH
-
My soul is frozen as the landI
There is no sign of dawning thereJ
My languid thought drops off to sleepK
Above my slowly dying workL
-
But in my heart still glows a hopeM
That accidentally perhapsN
My soul will once again grow youngO
And see its native home once moreP
-
A land where storms may come and goD
Where thought is passionate and pureQ
And where a chosen few can seeR
How spring and beauty bloomS
