Upon A Haystack On A Southern Night Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAC DEDE FGHG IAJK

Upon a haystack in lands of SouthA
I lay while facing skies of nightB
The choir of stars alive and couthA
Was trembling spread at every sideC
-
The earth mute as a dream half hiddenD
Was fast receding into spaceE
And I as if the first in EdenD
Alone met the black night s faceE
-
Did I race to the depth profoundF
Or did the stars race strait to meG
In mighty hands it seemed me howH
I hanged above abysmal seaG
-
With heart so sinking and bewilderedI
I measured with my look a depthA
Into which every moment sightedJ
I sink and nobody helpsK
