I Always Like The Northern Birches Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB ACAD EAEA FAFA

I always s like the northern birchesA
Their view so downcast and graveB
The fever which poor souls scorchesA
Cools like the mute speech of a graveB
-
But yet the willow which branchesA
With their long leaves cast in a floodC
Is closer to a dream that scourgesA
And longer lives in our heartD
-
Deploring groves their ownE
Their meadows with bitter tearsA
Tell birches to cold wind aloneE
Their common sufferings and fearsA
-
Believing that the whole groundF
Is motherland of sacred grievesA
The weeping willow all aroundF
Inclines its branches with long leavesA
