Mountains From The Keslov Steppe Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCCBBCCB D EFFEGG

PilgrimA
-
What would Great Allah with the frozen seaB
Would he of icy clouds a throne carve brightC
Or would the demons of the deepest nightC
A bar build where the shining stars sweep freeB
It gleams like pagan cities fired kings fleeB
When Day was anciently destroyed by NightC
Did Allah amid chaos fix this lightC
To guide the star worlds of eternityB

-
Up there I've journeyed where the winter reignsE
And seen the rivers bitten black like linesF
On Tschatir Dagh where the white cloud reclinesF
Which not the wildest eagle's shadow stainsE
Where cradled under me the thunders sleepG
And Allah and the stars their watches keepG
