Alushta By Night Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBA CDDCEE

The drooping weary day night pushed asideA
On Tschatir Dagh the sullen sun and lowB
Paints phantom purple upon ancient snowB
While forest ways within the wanderers hideA
Night veils the mountains and the valleys wideA
The thunderous brooks are dream held dulled and slowB
Beneath the blackness fragrant flowers blowB
And rich leaf music clothes each valley sideA
-
Almost my waking eyes are dream held tooC
With gold a meteor marks the deep domed skyD
And fountain like the fiery sparks float byD
Oh Beauty of the Eastern Night you wooC
My spirit like the odalisque who heldE
Men captive till her kiss the dream dispelledE
