Wrecked Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDDDB EBFBGGB HBIBJJJB KLMLNNL

The winds are singing a death knellA
Out on the main to nightB
The sky droops low and many a barkC
That sailed from harbors brightB
Like many an one beforeD
Shall enter port no moreD
And a wreck shall drift to some unknown shoreD
Before to morrow's lightB
-
The clouds are hanging a death pallE
Over the sea to nightB
The stars are veiled and the hearts that sailedF
Away from harbors brightB
Shall sob their last for their quiet homeG
And sobbing sink 'neath the whirling foamG
Before the morning's lightB
-
The waves are weaving a death shroudH
Out on the main to nightB
Alas the last prayer whispered thereI
By lips with terror whiteB
Over the ridge of gloomJ
Not a star will loomJ
God help the souls that will meet their doomJ
Before the dawn of lightB
-
-
-
The breeze is singing a joy songK
Over the sea to dayL
The storm is dead and the waves are redM
With the flush of the morning's rayL
And the sleepers sleep but beyond the deepN
The eyes that watch for the ships shall weepN
For the hearts they bore awayL
