Wake Me A Song Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCCDD ECECBBFF AGAGHDD

Out of the silences wake me a songA
Beautiful sad and soft and lowB
Let the loveliest music sound alongA
And wing each note with a wail of woeB
Dim and drearC
As hope's last tearC
Out of the silences wake me a hymnD
Whose sounds are like shadows soft and dimD
-
Out of the stillness in your heartE
A thousand songs are sleeping thereC
Wake me a song thou child of artE
The song of a hope in a last despairC
Dark and lowB
A chant of woeB
Out of the stillness tone by toneF
Cold as a snowflake low as a moanF
-
Out of the darkness flash me a songA
Brightly dark and darkly brightG
Let it sweep as a lone star sweeps alongA
The mystical shadows of the nightG
Sing it sweetH
Where nothing is drear or dark or dimD
And earth song soars into heavenly hymnD
