Thoughts Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EBFB GHGH IJIJ KBKB

By sound of name and touch of handA
Thro' ears that hear and eyes that seeB
We know each other in this landA
How little must that knowledge beB
-
How souls are all the time aloneC
No spirit can another reachD
They hide away in realms unknownC
Like waves that never touch a beachD
-
We never know each other hereE
No soul can here another seeB
To know we need a light as clearF
As that which fills eternityB
-
For here we walk by human lightG
But there the light of God is oursH
Each day on earth is but a nightG
Heaven alone hath clear faced hoursH
-
I call you thus you call me thusI
Our mortal is the very barJ
That parts forever each of usI
As skies on high part star from starJ
-
A name is nothing but a nameK
For that which else would nameless beB
Until our souls in rapture claimK
Full knowledge in eternityB
