Presentiment Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCBCDC BEBEBE AFAFAF GAGAGA DABABA

My SisterA
-
-
-
Cometh a voice from a far landB
Beautiful sad and lowC
Shineth a light from the star landB
Down on the night of my woeC
And a white hand with a garlandD
Biddeth my spirit to goC
-
Away and afar from the night landB
Where sorrow o'ershadows my wayE
To the splendors and skies of the light landB
Where reigneth eternity's dayE
To the cloudless and shadowless bright landB
Whose sun never passeth awayE
-
And I knew the voice not a sweeterA
On earth or in Heaven can beF
And never did shadow pass fleeterA
Than it and its strange melodyF
And I know I must hasten to meet herA
Yea Sister thou callest to meF
-
And I saw the light 'twas not seemingG
It flashed from the crown that she woreA
And the brow that with jewels was gleamingG
My lips had kissed often of yoreA
And the eyes that with rapture were beamingG
Had smiled on me sweetly beforeA
-
And I saw the hand with the garlandD
Ethel's hand holy and fairA
Who went long ago to the far landB
To weave me the wreath I shall wearA
And to night I look up to the star landB
And pray that I soon may be thereA
