My Beads Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBA CDEC FGGF CHHC IJJI KLLK

Sweet blessed beads I would not partA
With one of you for richest gemB
That gleams in kingly diademB
Ye know the history of my heartA
-
For I have told you every griefC
In all the days of twenty yearsD
And I have moistened you with tearsE
And in your decades found reliefC
-
Ah time has fled and friends have failedF
And joys have died but in my needsG
Ye were my friends my blessed beadsG
And ye consoled me when I wailedF
-
For many and many a time in griefC
My weary fingers wandered roundH
Thy circled chain and always foundH
In some Hail Mary sweet reliefC
-
How many a story you might tellI
Of inner life to all unknownJ
I trusted you and you aloneJ
But ah ye keep my secrets wellI
-
Ye are the only chain I wearK
A sign that I am but the slaveL
In life in death beyond the graveL
Of Jesus and His Mother fairK
