Lines ["the Death Of Men Is Not The Death"] Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCCDDEEAEFGGF HIEIEJJDHHKKLMML

The death of men is not the deathA
Of rights that urged them to the frayB
For men may yieldC
On battle fieldC
A noble life with stainless shieldC
And swords may rustD
Above their dustD
But still and stillE
The touch and thrillE
Of freedom's vivifying breathA
Will nerve a heart and rouse a willE
In some hour in the days to beF
To win back triumphs from defeatG
And those who blame us then will greetG
Right's glorious eternityF
-
For right lives in a thousand thingsH
Its cradle is its martyr's graveI
Wherein it rests awhile untilE
The life that heroisms gaveI
Will rise again at God's own willE
And right the wrongJ
Which long and longJ
Did reign above the true and justD
And thro' the songs the poet singsH
Right's vivifying spirit ringsH
Each simple rhymeK
Keeps step and timeK
With those who marched away and fellL
And all his linesM
Are humble shrinesM
Where love of right will love to dwellL
