A "thought-flower" Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABABCC DEDEFF GHGHFF IJKJCC LMMMMMMM| Silently shadowly some lives go | A |
| And the sound of their voices is all unheard | B |
| Or if heard at all 'tis as faint as the flow | A |
| Of beautiful waves which no storm hath stirred | B |
| Deep lives these | C |
| As the pearl strewn seas | C |
| - | |
| Softly and noiselessly some feet tread | D |
| Lone ways on earth without leaving a mark | E |
| They move 'mid the living they pass to the dead | D |
| As still as the gleam of a star thro' the dark | E |
| Sweet lives those | F |
| In their strange repose | F |
| - | |
| Calmly and lowly some hearts beat | G |
| And none may know that they beat at all | H |
| They muffle their music whenever they meet | G |
| A few in a hut or a crowd in a hall | H |
| Great hearts those | F |
| God only knows | F |
| - | |
| Soundlessly shadowly such move on | I |
| Dim as the dream of a child asleep | J |
| And no one knoweth 'till they are gone | K |
| How lofty their souls their hearts how deep | J |
| Bright souls these | C |
| God only sees | C |
| - | |
| Lonely and hiddenly in the world | L |
| Tho' in the world 'tis their lot to stay | M |
| The tremulous wings of their hearts are furled | M |
| Until they fly from the world away | M |
| And find their rest | M |
| On Our Father's breast | M |
| Where earth's unknown shall be known the best | M |
| And the hidden hearts shall be brightest blest | M |
