So I Said I Am Ezra Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFAGHIJFKFFLMNFA FOFFPMQ

So I said I am EzraA
and the wind whipped my throatB
gaming for the sounds of my voiceC
I listened to the windD
go over my head and up into the nightE
Turning to the sea I saidF
I am EzraA
but there were no echoes from the wavesG
The words were swallowed upH
in the voice of the surfI
or leaping over the swellsJ
lost themselves oceanwardF
Over the bleached and broken fieldsK
I moved my feet and turning from the windF
that ripped sheets of sandF
from the beach and threw themL
like seamists across the dunesM
swayed as if the wind were taking me awayN
and saidF
I am EzraA
As a word too much repeatedF
falls out of beingO
so I Ezra went out into the nightF
like a drift of sandF
and splashed among the windy oatsP
that clutch the dunesM
of unremembered seasQ
