Sonnet Of Motherhood Xxiv Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBA CDECDE

How many holy women mothered meA
And brought me to perfection for this hourB
When from my being all the living powerB
Of sweetest woman should at last flow freeA
Aeons on Aeons on a loving kneeA
Some woman rocked me in her scented bowerB
Till my soul bloomed an everlasting flowerB
Calling with fragrance to a singing beeA
-
You came You saw me And because in youC
A myriad mothers all their love had spreadD
Those holy women since the dawn of dayE
Gave you the promise of a master trueC
Dearest that bee unto the flower was wedD
When your song fitted with my humble layE
