Sonnet Of Motherhood Viii Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCABBADEFDEF

Make me the melody of meeting palmsA
The roundelay of little running feetB
Strike me a measure to a trembling sweetB
Of the mouth s laughter and the fingers psalmsC
I know of music in the ocean calmsA
A siren singing where the long tides meetB
I know of lyrics in the leaf s long beatB
But the child chant is symphony of balmsA
Sing it to me O sing it to my bloodD
Through chord and fibre of my being runE
The liquid quavers and the pause and turnF
Of every note in its seraphic floodD
Sing on that anthem of the sea and sunE
And the deep dreams that in your being yearnF
