Sonnet Of Motherhood Vi Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBA CDECDE

I d have you love my body as my soulA
Praise it and magnify it night and dayB
Knowing its sweetness blossoms out of clayB
With tremulous movement to its spirit goalA
These arms perchance have clambered branch and boleA
These feet have run from many beasts of preyB
But Love has led them to a clearer wayB
Moulding white rapture from apparent doleA
-
O let my body be your soul s delightC
Your mirror true of Beauty most esteemedD
That looking on its form your lips breathe lowE
This is herself her soul within my sightC
So read it over as a book you dreamedD
In boyhood s fancy many a year agoE
