The Forsaken Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCCC DEDEFFG

The peace which other seek they findA
The heaviest storms not longet lastB
Heaven grants even to the guiltiest mindA
An amnesty for what is pastB
When will my sentence be reversedC
I only pray to know the worstC
And wish as if my heart would burstC
-
O weary struggle silent yearD
Tell seemingly no doubtful taleE
And yet they leave it short and fearD
And hopes are strong and will prevailE
My calmest faith escapes not painF
And feeling that the hope in vainF
I think that he will come againG
