On The Projected Kendal And Windermere Railway Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABABABCDDCEE

Is then no nook of English ground secureA
From rash assault Schemes of retirement sownB
In youth and 'mid the busy world kept pureA
As when their earliest flowers of hope were blownB
Must perish how can they this blight endureA
And must he too the ruthless change bemoanB
Who scorns a false utilitarian lureA
'Mid his paternal fields at random thrownB
Baffle the threat bright Scene from OrrestheadC
Given to the pausing traveler's rapturous glanceD
Plead for thy peace thou beautiful romanceD
Of nature and if human hearts be deadC
Speak passing winds ye torrents with your strongE
And constant voice protest against the wrongE
