O Nightingale! Thou Surely Art Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEFGGHHGGIIJJ

O Nightingale thou surely artA
A creature of a fiery heartA
These notes of thine they pierce and pierceB
Tumultuous harmony and fierceB
Thou sing'st as if the God of wineC
Had helped thee to a ValentineC
A song in mockery and despiteD
Of shades and dews and silent nightD
And steady bliss and all the lovesE
Now sleeping in these peaceful grovesF
I heard a Stock dove sing or sayG
His homely tale this very dayG
His voice was buried among treesH
Yet to be come at by the breezeH
He did not cease but cooed and cooedG
And somewhat pensively he wooedG
He sang of love with quiet blendingI
Slow to begin and never endingI
Of serious faith and inward gleeJ
That was the song the song for meJ
