Blind Fiddler - Wilkie (exhibition, 1807.) Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCDDEEFFGG

With mirth unfeigned the cottage chimney ringsA
Though only vocal with four fiddle stringsA
And see the poor blind fiddler draws his bowB
And lifts intent his time denoting toeC
While yonder maid as blythe as birds in JuneD
You almost hear her whistle to the tuneD
Hard by a lad in imitative guiseE
Fixed fiddle like the broken bellows pliesE
Before the hearth with looks of honest joyF
The father chirrups to the chattering boyF
And snaps his lifted thumbs with mimic gleeG
To the glad urchin on his mother's kneeG
