The Hawk Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFE GHIHFFDF

Thou dost not fly thou art not perchedA
The air is all aroundB
What is it that can keep thee setC
From falling to the groundB
The concentration of thy mindD
Supports thee in the airE
As thou dost watch the small young birgsF
With such a deadly careE
-
My mind has such a hawk as thouG
It is an evil moodH
It comes when there's no cause for griefI
And on my joys doth broodH
Then do I see my life in partsF
The earth receives my bonesF
The common air absorbs my mindD
It knows not flowers from stonesF
