In May Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEEFFG GHHIIEEJJKK

Yes I will spend the livelong dayA
With Nature in this month of MayA
And sit beneath the trees and shareB
My bread with birds whose homes are thereB
While cows lie down to eat and sheepC
Stand to their necks in grass so deepC
While birds do sing with all their mightD
As though they felt the earth in flightD
This is the hour I dreamed of whenE
I sat surrounded by poor menE
And thought of how the Arab satF
Alone at evening gazing atF
The stars that bubbled in clear skiesG
-
And of young dreamers when their eyesG
Enjoyed methought a precious boonH
In the adventures of the MoonH
Whose light behind the Clouds' dark barsI
Searched for her stolen flocks of starsI
When I hemmed in by wrecks of menE
Thought of some lonely cottage thenE
Full of sweet books and miles of seaJ
With passing ships in front of meJ
And having on the other handK
A flowery green bird singing landK
