To You Who Have Lost Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCD EEFGFGG HHHDDEIIJK

I know I knowA
The ceaseless ache the emptiness the woeA
The pang of lossB
The strength that sinks beneath so sore a crossB
Heedless and careless still the world wags onC
And leaves me broken Oh my son my sonD
-
Yet think of thisE
Yea rather think on thisE
He died as few men get the chance to dieF
Fighting to save a world's moralityG
He died the noblest death a man may dieF
Fighting for God and Right and LibertyG
And such a death is ImmortalityG
-
He died unnoticed in the muddy trenchH
Nay God was with him and he did not blenchH
Filled him with holy fires that nought could quenchH
And when He saw his work below was doneD
He gently called to him My son My sonD
I need thee for a greater work than thisE
Thy faith thy zeal thy fine activitiesI
Are worthy of My larger libertiesI
Then drew him with the hand of welcoming graceJ
And side by side they climbed the heavenly waysK
