Our Share Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIHJKLMJJNJ

And we ourselves Are our hands cleanA
Are our souls free from blameB
For this world tragedyC
Nay then Like all the restD
We had relaxed our hold on higher thingsE
And satisfied ourselves with smallerF
Ease pleasure greed of goldG
Laxed morals even in theseH
We suffered them as unawareI
Of their soul cankeringsH
We had slipped back along the sloping wayJ
No longer holding First Things FirstK
But throning gods emasculateL
Idols of our own fashioningM
Heads of sham gold and feet of crumbling clayJ
If we would build anew and build to stayJ
We must find God againN
And go His wayJ
