Nightfall Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBAAB ABDBAAA ADADAAD AEFGAAH AAIAJJA

Fold up the tentA
The sun is in the WestB
To morrow my untented soul will rangeC
Among the blestB
And I am well contentA
For what is sent is sentA
And God knows bestB
-
Fold up the tentA
And speed the parting guestB
The night draws on though night and day are oneD
On this long questB
This house was only lentA
For my apprenticementA
What is is bestA
-
Fold up the tentA
Its slack ropes all undoneD
Its pole all broken and its cover rentA
Its work is doneD
But mine tho' spoiled and spentA
Mine earthly tenementA
Is but begunD
-
Fold up the tentA
Its tenant would be goneE
To fairer skies than mortal eyesF
May look uponG
All that I loved has passedA
And left me at the lastA
Alone aloneH
-
Fold up the tentA
Above the mountain's crestA
I hear a clear voice calling calling clearI
To rest To restA
And I am glad to goJ
For the sweet oil is lowJ
And rest is bestA
