Where are all the young menA
There are only grey heads hereB
What has become of the young menA
-
-
-
This is the young men's yearC
They are gone one and all at duty's callD
To the camp to the trench to the seaE
They have left their homes they have left their allD
And now in ways heroicalD
They are making historyE
From bank and shop from bench and millD
From the schools from the tail of the ploughF
They hurried away at the call of the frayG
They could not linger a day and nowF
They are making historyE
And we miss them sorely as we lookH
At the seats where they used to beE
And try to picture them as they areI
Then hastily drop the vail for you seeE
They are making historyE
-
-
-
And history in these dread daysJ
Is sore sore sad in the makingK
We are building the future with our deadL
We are binding it sure with the brave blood shedL
Though our hearts are well nigh breakingK
We can but pray that the coming dayG
Will reap of our red sowingK
The harvest meet of a world completeM
With the peace of God's bestowingK
So with quiet heart we do our partN
In the travail of this mysteryE
We give of our best and we leave the restO
To Him Who maketh historyE
-
-
-
-
Some Hymns of ThanksgivingK
Praise and Petition for use at TheP
Coming Peace which please GodQ
cannot now be long delayedR
