What Comes Tomorrow Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB AABB BBCC DDEF

What comes tomorrow none can sayA
A shadowed path a clouded dayA
The heart beats fast the mind runs wildB
A future feared yet undefiledB
-
Will storms arrive will dreams decayA
Will hope be lost along the wayA
Or will the dawn bring gentle lightB
To chase away the endless nightB
-
We strain to see but still we re blindB
The threads of fate are not alignedB
And so we wait with trembling breathC
Half in wonder half in deathC
-
Yet though tomorrow stirs our fearD
Its mystery is what keeps us nearD
For in the unknown courage growsE
And only time will let us knowF
