The Whisper That Withered Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EEFF GGHH EEII JJKK LLMM HHNN OPQQ

In a quiet town where voices roamedA
A girl once sat feeling quite aloneB
Her days were filled with whispered threadsC
Of others lives of things they saidD
-
She d meet a friend beneath the treeE
And trade in tales not truth but spreeE
They d laugh at flaws dissect each nameF
Unaware they played a crueler gameF
-
But one dusk came the sky turned grayG
She heard a voice not far awayG
Why waste your breath on someone s fallH
When you ve your own heights to recallH
-
It struck her deep that quiet pleaE
A mirror held for her to seeE
The things that irked the things she mockedI
Were shadows in her own heart lockedI
-
She walked alone that evening tideJ
No friend to gossip by her sideJ
She pondered peace she pondered graceK
And saw her own soul s tender faceK
-
She chose to change to speak with careL
To lift not judge to be awareL
And though the silence felt unsureM
Her heart grew strong her mind grew pureM
-
Now when she hears the tempting callH
To speak of others flaws and allH
She smiles and turns to brighter thingsN
To dreams to growth to songs she singsN
-
For gossip steals it drains it bindsO
But kindness frees and clears the mindP
She learned that truth and so can youQ
Let go of judgment be what's trueQ
