The Day She Awoke Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CDEE FFDD GGFH IJKK

She woke one dawn with a different fireA
No longer chained to doubt s desireA
No need to ask who stood who strayedB
Her peace was hers no debt unpaidB
-
She left behind the endless chaseC
Of fleeting words of hollow praiseD
Opinions cheap like dust they fallE
They held no weight no worth at allE
-
Validation she learned was for the streetF
Not for her soul not for defeatF
And loyalty no fleeting phraseD
But a way of life a steadfast blazeD
-
Her life transformed not by a manG
Nor by a job nor fleeting planG
But by a truth both sharp and sweetF
Her joy was hers her own to keepH
-
For life is short too swift too fastI
To give your key to let it passJ
She holds it now her heart her guideK
Her happiness safe deep insideK
