I’m Not Mad, I’m Just Hurt Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDD EEFG HIIJ

I m not mad no flames of rageA
No fury penned upon this pageA
I gave my heart I gave my handB
Yet silence blooms where love should standB
-
I m not mad but shadows stayC
The wounds of trust don t fade awayC
I carried weight that was not mineD
And called it love a sacred signD
-
I m not mad but nights are longE
The echoes steal my tender songE
Ungrateful hearts turned cold forgotF
The kindness given the battles foughtG
-
I m just hurt a quiet flameH
That flickers still beneath the painI
For giving all was not in vainI
Though none recall the strength remainsJ
