A Nation's voice a nation's voiceB
It is a solemn thingC
It bids the bondage sick rejoiceB
'Tis stronger than a kingC
'Tis like the light of many starsD
The sound of many wavesE
Which brightly look through prison barsD
And sweetly sound in cavesE
Yet is it noblest godliest knownF
When righteous triumph swells its toneF

A nation's flag a nation's flagG
If wickedly unrolledH
May foes in adverse battle dragG
Its every fold from foldH
But in the cause of LibertyH
Guard it 'gainst Earth and HellI
Guard it till Death or VictoryH
Look you you guard it wellI
No saint or king has tomb so proudH
As he whose flag becomes his shroudH

-
A nation's right a nation's rightH
God gave it and gave tooH
A nation's sword a nation's mightH
Danger to guard it throughH
'Tis freedom from a foreign yokeJ
'Tis just and equal lawsK
Which deal unto the humblest folkJ
As in a noble's causeL
On nations fixed in right and truthM
God would bestow eternal youthM

May Ireland's voice be ever heardH
Amid the world's applauseK
And never be her flag staff stirredH
But in an honest causeL
May Freedom be her very breathO
Be Justice ever dearP
And never an ennobled deathO
May son of Ireland fearP
So the Lord God will ever smileQ
With guardian grace upon our isleQ
