Rhyme Scheme: ABCDDE FGHIJ DKLMDN OPQRSATUVLE WXHLYZHAU

Tell me what day is itA
I looked around it was awfully darkB
I tried to stay upright but my body refused to moveC
When my eyes finally adjusted I saw the vague setting of IkunoD
That's right I was at the train stationD
I sighed when I recalled that it was warE
-
I began to envision my beloved homeF
My mother's gentle fingers running through my curly hair as I lay on her lapG
my baby sister's wet kisses when I agreed to play with herH
my dog's gleeful yelp everytime I paced towards himI
Why did this beautiful picture ever have to endJ
-
I shrieked when I heard the sirenD
the dreadful simultaneous sirensK
they always send a shiver down my spine Just then I saw a flicker of lightL
It was moving coming towards meM
I finally saw that it was a lantern held in the arms of young manD
He was wearing a uniform an officialN
-
I tried to call out to him but I couldn't hear my own voiceO
I thrashed my hands towards him as my mark of helpP
but he looked at me with disgustQ
'Another one' he exclaimedR
My eyes caught his bota bagS
With the last ounce of my strength I grabbed itA
hoping to gift myself with a dropT
But he shoved me and clouted my headU
I felt the cold trickle of blood run down my neckV
With a final blow he left me and I no longer saw the lightL
It started to get warm now I did not feel the sharp ring of pain anymoreE
-
I looked up I couldn't believe what I sawW
I blinked profusely to assure that I wasn't dreamingX
There she was my motherH
She held out her hand and I grabbed it with all my mightL
I trotted behind her I never let go of her handY
I spun around and I saw my crippled body lying on the platformZ
I lookd at my motherH
Tell me mother what day is itA
But she just smiled aheadU
