Biography of Salim Yakubu Akko

Salim Yakubu Akko is a poet, an essayist and a short story writer hail from the nook and crannies of Gombe state,Nigeria.

He is a member of Hilltop Creative Arts Foundation,Gombe Jewel Writers' Association,Creative Club Gombe State University(CCGSU),Gona Creative Writers' Club and also he is the sectery of Gombe Hilltop Creative Arts.

Salim was a selected participant for the 2020 Jewel Writing Workshop,the workshop wich was convened by Adamu Usman Garko,the author of 'WHEN DAY BREAKS' and Salim was a participant for Jewel Peace Project(JPP),the project which was sponsored by Exchange Alumna Gombe State University,he was also a participant representing Gombe state for 2021 Hadiza Ibrahim Aliyu Schools Festival (HIASFEST) which held at at Minna,Niger state,Nigeria.He was the 2014 Quiz category winner for Association of Nigerian Conference of Principals for Secondary Schools(ANCOPSS) in Gombe state,during his Secondary school.

Salim's poem 'THERE SHALL COME A DAY' was published by national literary magazine 'SCRATCH POETRY MAGAZINE' and some of his works was published at some internet sites, include Internet Poem and Power Poetry.

Salim loves reading and the beauty of the nature.He also likes attending literary activities.
