| I held tight to keep it close | C |
| Yet it was out of reach | D |

| As I got a quiet wound | E |
| Which I couldn t see | B |
| I tried treating it so hard | F |
| But it was never healed | G |

| Blinded by its sweet smell | H |
| I ignored the thorns it carried | I |
| Now this agony made me see | B |

Poet's note: i wrote it after my break up as i got to know some of the truths that were hidden during our relationship. It's entirely written on a whim while reminiscing about past. I tried conveying my feelings in a poetic way and wish to share it. that's all
