Wasted Hours Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCC DBABCC

If that thy hand with heart will soughtA
To work with Christ love underlyingB
But ere thou hadst accomplished aughtA
Time passed thee by while vainly tryingB
The wasted hour the vain endeavorC
Will wait thee in the far foreverC
-
If thou hadst toiled from dawn till eveD
But felt no thrill of joy in givingB
No heart made glad no want relievedA
Lived but for selfish love of livingB
Though idle hours went by thee neverC
The hours are lost to thee foreverC
