Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDD ECC FGHICC

In my sleepess nightA
I wish to hold on to you tightA
tight that it is mightyB
that makes me feel like almightyB
-
Picture frames with endless thoughts of melancholiaC
beside the paper tulips that give me castaliaC
If only I could tear this paper tulips in a jarD
sorrows inside my chest will surely crash like a crashing carD
-
Every child's favorite story is an adult's worst fairytalesE
If imagination truly maims me mentallyC
it may bleed into the physical for delusion knows no boundaryC
-
Being liked yet never pursued how common it is nowadaysF
But do I really I have to endure itG
You are like the wind that passes through my bones without any traces left behindH
As you drift through the air wherever you may be you must know I am still affected by youI
This scar remain a stain no washing can erase engraved upon me forevermoreC
Only time will tell like it's folkloreC

Poet's note: This poem tells the story of loving someone who drifts in and out of life, leaving memories and longing behind. It was written during sleepless nights, inspired by personal feelings of unreciprocated affection. I wanted to express sorrow, longing, and the struggle between hope and reality. To me, this poem is a reflection of emotional scars, the fragility of love, and the quiet resilience of holding on while learning to heal.
